When will the transfer arrive and how long does the checkout take??
Wire transfers are currently one of the most popular ways to transfer money, as they do not require a visit to a stationary branch, although we can order them there as well. The only downside to this method of transferring cash is that the recipient will not always have it immediately available. Unfortunately, the money needs time to get from one account to another, which depends on the type of transfer. However, it is when the transfer arrives and the money will reach the recipient’s account we can easily check.

How to check when the transfer arrives?
In the table above you can find incoming and outgoing session hours of popular banks. Knowing which bank sends the transfer and which bank receives it you can easily check when the transfer will arrive. What data do you need to know about Elixir Sessions to know when the money reaches your account?
- time of transfer order,
- hours of outgoing transfers of the sender’s bank,
- Incoming transfer hours of the recipient bank.
Having these 3 pieces of information we can easily check when the money should appear on the account:
- We take the time of the transfer order,
- in the sender’s bank we check the nearest hour of outgoing sessions, following the transfer order,
- since we already know at what time the transfer will be sent it is enough only to find in the receiver’s bank the nearest incoming session hour, following, of course, the outgoing session of the sender’s bank.
When the money from the employer arrives in your account?
Every employer has people who get paid earlier than others, and it depends on the bank where they have their account. The money may appear immediately after the transfer is sent, but for this purpose we need to have an account in the same bank as our employer. Usually in each city there are branches of many different banks, so even a change should not be a problem. Of course this one day difference when it comes to the appearance of money on your account does not make that much difference, but we can consider changing the bank also looking at other benefits. One of them is the money for setting up the account, so we can earn extra money on the change.
It is hard to imagine normal life without a bank account, so it is worth knowing what the offer looks like in other banks. Especially that we can often earn additionally at least a few hundred zlotys by changing the account.
How long does an internal transfer take?
Undoubtedly, the fastest execution time will be obtained when the account of the sender and the recipient is located in the same bank. In this situation, the transfer will arrive almost immediately after the relevant order is placed. Unfortunately, the number of different banks is quite large, so it is not always possible that two people who send a transfer have the same. However, it is worth keeping this in mind when opening a bank account and, if possible, deciding on the same bank in which you have an account e.g. family or close friends. Thanks to this the transfer will arrive faster if the situation requires it.
When will a SORBNET transfer arrive
This type of transfer is operated by NBP and is used to make transfers for very large amounts. Choosing such a solution we can count on the fact that the funds will be transferred to another bank very quickly, usually within an hour. Additionally, when deciding on a SORBNET transfer, you do not have to worry about the cash limit, but you do have to pay an additional fee of about PLN 30 for its execution.
How long does an instant transfer take?
Another very interesting solution if you care about time is an instant transfer. Most transfers take less than 15 minutes to reach your recipient. This is a great solution for those who forget when a delay in transfer execution could result in unpleasant consequences. Not every bank supports this type of transfer, so before making it you should make sure whether it is possible. Sometimes it may involve an additional fee of several to a dozen or so zlotys.
How long does a foreign money transfer take?
A foreign transfer is made in two standards: SEPA or SWIFT. Depending on your choice of standard delivery time may vary slightly. Which one to choose and when the money will appear on your account in a particular case?
When will SEPA transfer arrive
SEPA system allows you to make transfers within European Union, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein. This kind of transfer requires a 26-digit account number and BIC code (the whole thing is called IBAN account number). When will the money hit your account? Usually, it appears on the recipient’s account on the next business day, and the transfer itself is made in euro.
When the SWIFT transfer arrives
SWIFT system is used much more often, because it is used to transfer any currency. When the money will appear on your account depends on the chosen transfer posting option. We have 3 options to choose from:
- Spot – the transfer should be made within 3 days,
- Tomnext – Cash should arrive in your account within 24 hours,
- Overnight – the transfer can be made even on the same day if it’s made before 1 p.m.
How much does a foreign transfer through an intermediary service cost?
Apart from the standards mentioned above we can use an intermediary company. Thanks to such a solution we save on transfer costs and we can count on faster execution. The money in the recipient’s account can appear even in 30 minutes. A service that makes this possible is TransferGo.
When the money arrives as soon as possible?
Definitely, the fastest solution in terms of transfer time is an internal transfer. Unfortunately, it is not always possible, so we have to rely on incoming and outgoing sessions in a given bank. Well, unless you really care about time you can always use instant transfer.
